We will be taking part in The Sixth Annual IEM Education and Resource Conference on January 11th and 12th, 2002 at the Radisson Hotel, 500 Leisure Lane, in Sacramento, California.

In addition to having a booth at the conference we will also be presenting a one hour workshop.  The workshop will address two questions; "What is the end, or purpose, of education?" and "How do we get there?" If we don't know what it is we are trying to accomplish how can we know how to accomplish it?  As important as this is, it is surprising how many homeschoolers [perhaps it is most homeschoolers] never identify, except in some vague manner, the end toward which they are working.  This makes assessing their homeschooling progress difficult for them and often leaves them feeling a bit "at sea" and unsettled, as if there is some missing piece of the puzzle.  The one that identifies the goal.  

So, what IS the purpose of education?  And how is it achieved? We have answers to those questions and invite you to come to the conference and discover what they are. We look forward to meeting you and speaking with you there.
