[Tuition subject to change without notice.]
17.) What if I am on the tuition payment plan and finish an asynchronous semester in less than the number of months of payments?
That is not a problem; the payments would continue at their monthly rate until paid in full. However, enrollment in the next Great Books Program year, and the student’s final grade and transcript is not available until any remaining payments/balance is first paid in full. This is the norm in higher education..
18.) May I record the asynchronous classes?
There is no reason to do so, as they are accessible to our students 24/7 with their password. The online Great Books classes are strictly protected by copyright law and may not be recorded, downloaded or shared without the written permission of the Academy.
19.) When and how do I begin?
Students may enroll online at any time of year. However, the synchronous classes begin each year only in the first week of September, and end in early May; asynchronous classes may be accessed all year, anytime with the password provided to students upon their enrollment in the asynchronous mode. The online enrollment form allows the student to select either the synchronous or asynchronous mode of class, for any Great Books track.
The asynchronous classes for Greek Year are scheduled to be available August 15, 2020, and then be available 24/7, 365 days per year thereafter; if they are completed earlier, as we anticipate, we will notify enrolled students at that time. The Romans, Middle Ages, and then Moderns years Asynchronous classes will be available a little later in 2020.
Enrollment in the Asynchronous Mode is now open. Click Enroll Now below; then select your preferred payment method (In Full or 10 equal payments); then at “Great Books Program” select the credit track you wish to be on: Associates Degree, High School, or College Credit:, then scroll on that dropdown menu to “Great Books Program – Asynchronous Mode.”
